The Top Email Marketing Providers

There are just a ton of email marketing providers out there right now. And it can be difficult to figure out which one is for you. Some are really expensive, which is totally out of the question when you’re just starting out (believe me, I get it) and others that might not have the functionality you’re looking for. Heck, maybe you don’t even know what functionality you’re looking for.

Not to worry, we’re going to go through a few of my favorites to help make your selection process a little bit easier. Let’s go.

This article contains affiliate links – that means if you make a purchase, I’ll receive a commission (at no additional cost to you) which helps keep us running and providing great content.

ConvertKit

ConvertKit is my email of choice now, but it didn’t start out that way (see Mailerlite below). ConvertKit can be a little challenging to understand, especially if you’re new to email marketing, but once you get the hang of it, it does the job, and well. Convertkit is priced pretty reasonably at $29.00 per month for up to 1,000 subscribers (paid monthly). If you choose to pay for a year upfront, it’s only $25.00 per month or $290.00 for the year.

Why I like it? Advanced segmentation, tags, visual automation, integration with payment providers, super helpful support and direct integration with Elementor.
Check out ConvertKit.

MailerLite

Before using ConvertKit, I used MailerLite for years. The nice thing is, ConvertKit and MailerLite are pretty similar. They both have segmentation, integrations and visual automation, which I love (if you can’t tell). The nice thing is, MailerLite is free for up to 1,000 subscribers but limits you to 12,000 sends per month. Which if you’re just starting out or have a small list, you’re probably not going to be hitting that 12,000 mark so you’ll be fine. MailerLite integrates directly with WordPress via plugin and with Elementor as well.

MailChimp

For some reason, everyone seems to start out with MailChimp – and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. MailChimp has gone through quite a few changes over the years and added a lot of advanced features that are at a pretty hefty price point. Of course, MailChimp still offers a free plan, but in recent months, they’ve really limited what you can do on the free plan. They do offer automation, but it is not visual – so if you’re a visual person, MailChimp might not be right for you. Their paid plans start at $9.99 per month for 500 subscribers.
Keep in mind: MailChimp defines a subscriber is 1 email on 1 email list. So that means, if jondoe@gmail.com is on 5 lists, he’s counted 5 times toward your total number of subscribers.

Constant Contact

Admittedly, the last time I used Constant Contact at any depth was a few years back. Back then the platform was clunky and not intuitive. Checking it out now, it seems they’ve changed all of that. Their automation builder is not visual, so if you’re a visual person – keep that in mind. They do offer templates, which are especially good if you’re selling products. They also have options for Google, Facebook and Instagrm ads.
Their plans start at $20.00 per month for 500 subscribers.

Just starting out? My recommendation is to go with MailerLite. It’s robust for a free option and gives you a ton of options, as well as visual automation. If you can put a little money into it, consider ConvertKit. They’re pretty awesome.
